Established in 2000 by renowned artist Duke Riley, East River Tattoo calls the iconic Greenpoint waterfront in Brooklyn home. Known for its exceptional custom designs, the studio blends a rich history of maritime folk art with the timeless tradition of 19th-century tattooing. Drawing inspiration from antique nautical charts, woodcuts, engravings, and scrimshaw, the talented artists at East River Tattoo specialize in creating high-quality, one-of-a-kind tattoos that celebrate craftsmanship, history, and artistry in every piece.

How Do I Make An Initial Tattoo Inquiry or request a consultation?

Do you accept walk-ins?

We accept walk-ins everyday.  Please email info@eastrivertattoo.com or call 718-532-8282 for more information.

Deposits

Yes, a non-refundable deposit of the amount requested by your artist is required when making an appointment. This can be sent via Paypal, instructions will be sent during the booking process. The deposit will be applied to the final cost of your tattoo. This does not apply to walk-in appointments.

Please note that all deposits are non-refundable due to the work done in preparation for the appointment and the time allocated on the calendar. 

How much will my tattoo cost?

The shop minimum for any tattoo is $150. Final cost depends on size, detail, design, and placement.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We are cash only. There are many ATM's in the surrounding Deli’s.

Are You A Licensed Studio?

Yes, we are a fully licensed tattoo studio in NYC and pride ourselves on having excellent levels of cleanliness. All of our needles are single-use disposables and our artists follow strict health and safety guidelines.

We use certified medical waste and sharps disposal contractors.

Do you offer piercing?

Sorry, we do not offer any piercings at the shop.

How do I take care of my new tattoo?

Your artist will explain how they would like you to look after your tattoo, this can vary piece by piece.

Do people usually tip tattoo artists?

Tips are always greatly appreciated. Tips can be sent directly to our artists using venmo, zelle, paypal, cash etc.
